Day 2

7:30 am Rise early and head to Fruitgrower’s Reservoir. It’s only about 5-7 miles from any of the above listed properties

8:30 am See Sandhill Crane legs at Eckert Crane Days. Lift off is generally between 8:30 and 9:30. It is recommended that you bring hot coffee, a good set of binoculars and a folding chair. Members of the Black Canyon Audubon are on hand with viewing scopes and information on all of the birds that you might see.

10:30 am After lift off, head to lectures, presentations, storytelling and more, all with a Sandhill Crane theme.

12 Noon Lunch at Wildflower Bistro in Delta followed by a short drive to view the local sandhills that don’t migrate.

2:30 pm Return to Lodging Accommodations for a little “down time” and to freshen up before dinner. Take a stroll along the pathways on the property and seek other birds and plants.

3:30 pm Enjoy the fine legs of the Merlot at Stoney Mesa Winery

9:30 pm Put your Legs up.

Day 3

9:00 am Cedaredge for a satisfying breakfast at Creekside Cafe

11:00 am Ski the last leg of the Ward Creek X-Country Trail on Grand Mesa. This trail is well groomed and offers a great opportunity to enjoy the beautiful snow.

12:00 noon Enjoy a hearty lunch at Alexander Lake Lodge or catered sack lunch. ______________________________________________________________
